At Copper Hills, we emphasize a solid foundation and work with our clients to achieve their goals in a safe, fun environment.  Children and adults, from beginners to experienced show riders, are welcome. Located within minutes from splendid downtown Salt Lake City, Copper Hills sits on over 6 beautiful acres in Herriman.

Copper Hills Equestrian Center was established in 2005 because Gary Kehl loved his Half Arabian horses so much that he wanted to give them a permanent home where he could breed, train, and show them all under one roof.  His stunningly beautiful pinto Half Arabian, GK A-Lexus had done so well in the western pleasure show ring that Gary wanted to breed more like her.  Then he branched out to breed some halter horses, hunter horses, english horses and even a few reiners.

He asked his trainer, Priscilla Cluff, to come along and work at his new facility, and Priscilla was very willing to come on board.  With the addition of Candice Young to the Copper Hills team, Copper Hills is quickly moving up in the national ranks.  In the year 2009,  horses trained exclusively by Copper Hills won multiple titles at Scottsdale, Region 8, and Youth Nationals in several different divisions. 

Priscilla specializes in Western Pleasure, Hunter Pleasure, Halter, and Showmanship; while Candice Young specializes in English Pleasure, Show Hack, Hunter Pleasure, and Western Pleasure.

Copper Hills is a beautiful place where the Arabian and Half Arabian horse is enjoyed daily by their owners.
